Student-athletes must be aware of continuance requirements for both the College and the NCAA. To remain eligible for enrollment at the College and competition in athletics, student-athletes must satisfy all standards of continuance and progress toward degree requirements.
The academic continuance standards for William & Mary students are outlined in the Undergraduate Program Catalog. Refer to this document for both the academic credit and cumulative (GPA) required at the completion of each year to remain in good academic standing.
The NCAA eligibility requirements for student-athletes are noted in the NCAA Manual and in the NCAA Summary of Rules provided to you at the start of each academic year. Below is a year-by-year summary of the NCAA continuing eligibility requirements that must be met for you to be eligible to compete and/or practice in intercollegiate athletics.
