Biography

Senior Season (2022-23)
Appeared in 24 games and started the final three games of the season … Averaged 6.1 points and one rebound per game in 13.2 minutes of action … Shot 40% from the field (50-of-1250 and 39.8% from 3 (47-of-118) … Ranked 10th in the CAA in 3-pointers per game (2.0) … Named to the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll … Averaging 14.8 points per game and hitting 4.8 3-pointers per contests over the final four games … Connected on three of more 3-pointers in five of the final eight games  … Scored a career-high 23 points on 7-of-14 from 3-point range in the CAA Tournament Second Round win over Elon (3/4) … His 7 3-pointers were the most in a CAA Tournament game for a Tribe player and the second-most all-time in tournament history overall … Knocked down five 3-pointers and scored 15 points in each of the Tribe’s wins over Elon (2/23) and Monmouth (2/25) … Connected on 4-of-10 from 3-point range and tallied 12 points at Elon (2/11) … Helped the Tribe to a home win over Towson (2/13) with nine points on 3-of-7 from 3 … Knocked down a trio of 3-pointers and finished with nine points vs. N.C. Appeared in 11 games as a reserve and averaged 2.9 points per game … Knocked down two 3-pointers in four games … Was 2-of-3 from 3 and tallied six points at George Washington (12/14) … Tallied six points in back-to-back games at Hofstra … Dished out two assists at Hofstra (1/2) … Tallied two steals at Hofstra (1/3) … Was 2-of-5 from 3-point range to tally six points vs. Drexel (1/23) … Notched five points in the opener at ODU (11/28). 

Freshman Season (2019-20)
Appeared in 30 games and averaged 4.6 points per game … Was one of the Tribe’s top 3-point shooting, hitting at a 37.3% (41-of-110) from distance … In CAA play, ranked 13th in the league in 3-point shooting at 39.7% … Shot 39.7% (48-of-121) from the field … In his collegiate debut, became the 9th player in school history to go at least 4-of-4 from 3, scoring 12 points at Wofford (11/12) … Scored eight points in eight second-half minutes in the Tribe’s win over Old Dominion (12/3) … All eight points came as part of a 15-1 run in the second half run to lead W&M to victory … Scored all 14 of his career-high at Delaware (1/16) in the first half, hitting  5-of-5 from the field, including all four 3-pointers … Became only the second player in W&M history, along with Daniel Dixon ’17, to have multiple games of four made 3-pointers without a miss … Knocked down 4-of-6 from 3-point range to finish with 12 points at UNCW (2/8) … Scored nine points on a trio of 3-pointers in the Tribe’s win at Towson (2/20) … Tallied eight points in a season-high 24 minutes at James Madison (2/22).

Prep
Played a prep season at National Top Sports Institute in Orlando, Fla. … Averaged 21 points per game, knocking down 110 3-pointers for NTSI … Scored a season-high 36 points on 10-of-17 from 3 against DME Academy … Named to the first team at the 2019 Scotland Campus Invitational … Tallied 12 games with five or more 3-pointers for NTSI … As a senior in 2017-18, led Doral Academy (Fla.) to the 2018 FHSAA Boys Basketball Class 7A State Championship … Topped Doral in scoring at 16.5 points per game and shot 39 percent from 3-point range … Selected to the All-State First Team in 2018 … Hit 105 3-pointers during his senior season … Averaged four rebounds and an assist per game in 2017-18 … Rated as one of the top shooters in the state of Florida … Named the Miami Herald Dade County Player of the Year  and was selected to the All-Dade First Team … Honored as both Doral’s Team MVP and Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2018 … Averaged nine points and 2.5 rebounds per game as a junior in 2016-17 … Shot 47.9 percent (35-of-73) from 3-point range … Selected as the team’s Rookie of the Year in 2017 … Helped Doral to district championships in 2017 and 2018 along with a  regional title in 2018 … Played AAU for Florida Elite (2016-18) … Helped Florida Elite to the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions title … Played for the Doral All-Stars from 2011-18 … Represented Spain in the 2018 FIBA European Championship … Scored nine points on 3-of-7 from 3-point range in the Group Stage against Ukraine.

Son of Carlos Ayesa and Carmen Rodriguez … Born in Madrid Spain … Father, Carlos, played basketball professionally in Spain from 1981-93, and was a tennis athlete (1978-1981) and a swimmer (1975-1978) … His mother, Carmen Rodriguez, was a track and field athlete from 1988 to 1997 and competed in gymnastics (1977-1984) and the military triathlon (1984-1987) … Earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing in 2023.
