Appeared in nine games and earned six starts … Led the team in passing with 142.3 yards per game … Completed 115 of 194 passes for 1,281 yards with six touchdowns and six interceptions … Also rushed for a pair of touchdowns … Completed 21 of 32 passes for a career-high 267 yards with two touchdowns – one passing, one rushing – in the season-opening win at Bucknell … Effort was highlighted by a 75-yard touchdown pass to wideout DeVonte Dedmon … Completed 24 of 32 attempts for 263 yards with two touchdowns in the comeback win against Albany … Efficiently engineered a pair of scoring drives late in the fourth quarter versus the Great Danes, completing 8 of 8 passes for 110 yards on the final two scoring drives …. FRESHMAN YEAR (2017)
Became W&M’s first true freshman to start at quarterback since 1975 (Tom Rozantz) when he made his collegiate debut at Delaware … Also became the program’s first true freshman to play at quarterback since 1981 (Stan Yagiello) … Started all three games in which he appeared … Completed 22 of 58 passes for 140 yards with three interceptions …

One of the most prolific quarterbacks in Virginia High School League (VHSL) history as a record-setting standout for head coaches Richard Morgan and Bill Dee at Oscar Smith High School ...
