2009-10
Indoor: Broke out of his shell and into the Tribe top-10 in the
weight throw ... Opened the year over 50 feet for the first time,
throwing for 52-4.5 at the CNU Holiday Open ... Back at CNU in February,
won the event with a personal-best toss of 55-11.75 (17.06m),
qualifying for the IC4A Championships ... 18th at the IC4A meet.
Outdoor: Every throw in the hammer was better than his career-best
coming into the year ... Opened the spring with a mammoth throw of 181-7
(55.35m) at the Tribe Invitational ... Effort was nearly 17 feet better
than his previous best, and qualified him for the IC4A Championships
... 20th in the hammer at the IC4A meet ... Third at the CAA
Championships for all-conference honors ... Also competed sparingly in
the discus.
2008-09
Indoor: Threw a personal-best 47-7.25 in the weight throw at CNU in January.
Outdoor: Reset his personal-best four times in the hammer throw ...
Fifth at the CAA Championships with a throw of 160-8 ... Best effort
came in may at George Mason, where he threw 165-0 for the win ... Ranks
seventh in school history ... Threw 164-4 at Virginia in early April,
becoming just the seventh thrower in school history to surpass 50 meters
and the 10th to throw farther than 160 feet.
2007-08
Threw a personal best 153-7 in the hammer throw at the CAA Championships, placing fifth.
At St. Charles
Earned third-place in the discus at the league championships as a
junior and a senior ... Has a best throw of 140-1 for the discus and
133-6 for the hammer ... Also earned two letters as a left-winger in
hockey ... Part of the 25th-place team at the TEAM+S National
Engineering Competition in 2006 ... Also took part in the competition in
2007, placing 26th ... Member of the National Honor Society.
Personal
Son of Mark and Joan Jordan ... Mother ran track and cross country
at the College of Mount Joseph from 1978-81 ... Father was coached by
Dan Stimson at Miami (Ohio) from 1978-82.
