Made one relief appearance during his sophomore season for the Green and Gold … Allowed one run in one inning, finishing with a 9.00 ERA … Allowed a run in an inning of relief against Elon (3/28).
FRESHMAN YEAR / 2014
Made two appearances both in relief in his freshman season for the Tribe … Finished the season with a 7.71 ERA … Tossed 4.2 innings, allowing five hits, four runs, and had seven strikeouts … Made his two scoreless innings against Iona (3/14) with four strikeouts … Had his second appearance against Old Dominion (4/2), tossing 2.2 innings with three punches.
HIGH SCHOOL
Played three-years of varsity baseball at nearby Jamestown High School… Was named to the second team all-district squad in 2012 and 2013… Earned Virginia High School League and Virginia Gazette all-star honors in 2013… Named to the Rawlings Mid-Atlantic Honorable Mention team… Finished his junior season with a 1.25 ERA, 51 strikeouts, and threw 44 innings… Concluded the 2013 campaign with a 2.92 ERA, including tossing a no-hitter and two, two-hitters… Played his summer ball with the Evoshield Canes (2012), Richmond Baseball Academy East (2012), American Legion Post 1776 (2010-11) and Post 39 (2013)… Member of the National Honor Society and was a Key Club Office Chair.

Son of Stephen Smith and Betsy Overkamp-Smith… Father, Stephen, attended graduate school at the College… Major is undecided at William and Mary… Enjoys playing basketball and ping-pong in his spare time.
