SENIOR YEAR / 2017
Two-time CAA Pitcher of the Week for the weeks of March 27 and May 8...Made 16 appearances with 12 starts on the mound in his final year…Tied for first on the team with six wins…Served as a major contributor in a team-best two shutouts…Went at least seven innings deep in six of his starts…Finished with a 4.31 ERA after allowing 41 runs (37 earned) on 79 hits…Recorded 60 strikeouts and walked just 12 batters in 77.1 innings of work…Held opponents to a .261 batting average…Fanned five batters and surrendered just one run (earned) on four hits in 4.2 inning of relief against Rhode Island (3/5)…Posted three strikeouts and one run (earned) on two hits in the final two innings against Yale (3/11)…Hurled seven shutout innings and struck out a season-high 11 batters to claim first win of the year against VMI (3/22)…Earned first career save after recording the last two outs at CAA rival UNCW (3/26)…Tossed six innings with five strikeouts and one run (earned) on six hits for the win over Norfolk State (3/28)…Fanned seven and gave up just two runs (both earned) on five hits in eight innings to capture the win against conference rival Elon (4/7)… Earned fourth win at league foe Towson (4/30) after striking out four and holding the Tigers to just one run (earned) on seven hits…Followed up next start with 7.2 shutout innings of work, giving up just two singles and inducing two double plays for the victory over Charleston (5/7)…Earned a CAA Tournament win against Elon (5/25) after retiring the side in five of his seven innings, fanning five and allowing two runs (both earned) on five hits…Received Preseason All-CAA distinctions. 

JUNIOR YEAR / 2016
Named to the Second-Team All-CAA … Earned a spot on the CAA All-Tournament Team … Named CAA Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 17 … Made 17 appearances, all starts for the Green and Gold during his junior season … Led the Tribe with eight wins … Finished the season with a 4.69 ERA … tossed 94 innings allowing 58 runs (49 earned) on 120 hits … Added 39 strikeouts and held opposing hitters to a .313 batting average … Pitched into the seventh inning, or further, seven times, including a stretch of four games in a row … Three of his starts ended in Tribe shutouts …. Opened the season by throwing seven shutout innings, scattering six hits, fanning three in a win at Charlotte (2/21) … Set a career-high with six strikeout in the team’s win over Holy Cross (2/28) … Earned the win in the CAA opener at Elon (3/18) allowing four runs on nine hits over 5.1 innings … Tossed six innings in his third win of the season against Hofstra allowing five runs on 10 hits … Hurled a then-career-high seven innings allowing two runs (one earned) on nine hits in a victory over Georgetown (4/3) … Set a new a career-high by tossing 7.1 innings of shutout baseball with three strikeouts in a series clinching win at James Madison (4/17) …. Followed that up with seven more scoreless innings, scattering just five hits, and fanning four in a win at Northeastern (4/24) … Recorded another career-high when he went 7.2 innings allowing  four runs (three earned) against Delaware (4/30) … Tossed eight complete innings allowing just one run on hits in a win against Towson (5/8) … Pitched his first-ever complete game in the CAA Tournament against Northeastern (5/27) allowing just one run, while matching a career-high six strikeouts … Started a pair of games in the NCAA Regional against Virginia (6/3) and East Carolina (6/5).

SOPHOMORE YEAR / 2015
Made 14 appearances with two starts on the bump for the Tribe in his sophomore season … Finished the year, with a 5.81 ERA, tossing 26.1 innings … Allowed 23 runs (17 earned), while striking out 12 … Posted an 0-1 record on the mound … Made his season debut in relief at Ole Miss (2/14) … Had his first start of the season at Campbell (3/4) … Tossed a scoreless inning of relief and struck out a batter against UMass Lowell (3/8) … Allowed an unearned run over 1.2 innings at Kennesaw State (3/21) … Tossed 0.2 inning scoreless at Towson (4/3) … Struck out the side in appearance at Longwood (4/8) … Pitched 3.1 innings allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits, while striking out three against Old Dominion (4/14) … Fanned two and worked around two hits in a scoreless relief appearance at VMI (4/21) … Tossed three innings of relief at Delaware (4/24) with a strikeout, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits … Made the start at George Washington (5/14), going a season-long 5.1 innings allowing one run on five hits.

FRESHMAN YEAR / 2014
Appeared in 21 games, making three starts in his freshman season … Finished the season with a 1-2 record and a 7.22 ERA … Tossed 38.2 innings, allowing 58 hits, 31 runs, and had 12 strikeouts … Made his collegiate debut, tossing two innings with a strikeout against Army (2/14) … Allowed one run over 2.1 innings with a strikeout against No. 1 Virginia (2/17) … Pitched a scoreless 1.1 innings at Virginia Tech (3/5) … Tossed two innings of relief without allowing a hit at Campbell (3/9) … Scattered three hits over 1.2 innings at Campbell (3/9) … Fired a scoreless inning of relief against UMass Lowell (3/21) … Made his first career start against Norfolk State, pitching a career-high 4.1 innings … Tossed an inning of scoreless relief in a win at James Madison (4/13) … Made his second start at No. 1 Virginia (4/16) … Earned his first career win against Towson (5/4).

HIGH SCHOOL
Four-year varsity letterwinner at James Madison High School… Garnered first team all-district honors following his junior and senior seasons, after being on the second team his freshman and sophomore campaigns… Named to the first team all-region as a senior, following a second team nod as a junior… Was Honorable Mention All-Met in 2013… Finished his high school career with a 22-5 record on the mound… Played his club ball with DeMarini Stars…Three sport athlete at James Madison High School, playing football and basketball as well... On the football field, was named second team all-district as a senior.. Was a senior class officer.

PERSONAL
Son of Michael and Susan Powers... Finance major in The Mason School of Business...His brother Pat is a 2010 graduate of William & Mary and played and coached the club baseball team...His brother Chris attended Christopher Newport University and has served as a high school baseball coach...His Uncle Matt played hockey at Babson College and his cousin Brendan played hockey at Stonehill College...Enjoys hanging out with friends and golfing during his free time.
