SENIOR YEAR / 2016
Recognized with the W&M President’s Award…Honored as a Provost Award Winner for excelling in the classroom…Experienced a breakout year with career-bests in appearances (23), innings pitched (33.2), strikeouts (45) and ERA (3.74)…Allowed just 17 (runs) and 34 hits…Tossed a shutout frame with a strikeout in season-debut at then-ranked No. 12 Clemson (2/18)…Whiffed four batters in two innings of work vs. Maryland (2/21)…Recorded five strikeouts and allowed just two runs on four hits across 4.2 innings against Quinnipiac (2/24)…Hurled a scoreless frame at then-ranked No. 18 Virginia…Blanked High Point (3/4) over two innings with three K’s…Fanned four batters, while allowing just one run on two hits vs. Radford (3/7)…Recorded a career-high five strikeouts across 2.2 innings at Charleston (3/24)…Slung 2.1 shutout frames of one-hit ball with three K’s vs. Towson (4/6)…Fired in four strikeouts in just two innings for the third time against Hofstra (4/27).

SOPHOMORE YEAR / 2016
Made nine appearances with two starts during his sophomore season for the Green and Gold … Allowed 18 runs (13 earned) on 23 hits in 17 innings of work … Finished the season with a 0-2 record and a save … Pitched in a combined shutout … Made his season debut throwing an inning of scoreless relief at Charlotte (2/21) … Fanned two batters in a perfect inning against Holy Cross (2/27) … Earned the start and allowed just one earned on five hits with three strikeouts against Cal State Northridge (3/10) … Picked up his first career save throwing three innings without allowing an earned run against Hofstra (3/25) … Made his second start at Old Dominion (4/6).

FRESHMAN YEAR / 2015
Made 12 appearances all in relief on the mound in his freshman season … Finished the season with a 4.50 ERA, throwing 22.0 innings … Allowed 14 runs (11 earned), while striking out 13 … Posted an 0-2 record with a save … Made his collegiate debut at Ole Miss (2/14) tossing 2.2 innings of perfect baseball, and recorded a strikeout … Scattered three hits in 1.1 innings of scoreless relief against Northern Kentucky (2/28) … Picked up his first career save tossing three innings, allowing three hits, and fanned a batter at Hofstra (3/13) … Tossed an inning of scoreless relief with two strikeouts against UConn (3/18) … Allowed an unearned run on two hits and a career-long four inning outing at Old Dominion (4/1) … Recorded a pair of strikeouts in an inning of relief at Longwood (4/8) … Threw a scoreless inning and had a punchout at Virginia (4/15) … Tossed a scoreless inning and fanned two against Charleston (5/1).

HIGH SCHOOL
A two-sport athlete at Marist High School in Georgia playing football and baseball … Garnered all-region baseball honors in 2013 and 2014 … Named to the all-state squad as a senior … Named a team captain as a senior … Finished his senior season with a 1.27 ERA … Won the Dean Hargis Award for athlete leadership in 2014 … Played his club baseball for 6-4-3 Baseball (2014) and Team Gwinnett (2012-13) … Named to the all-region football team in 2013 … Was his team’s defensive player of the year as  junior … President of the FCA and a board member of the board for Habitat for Humanity.

Son of Robert and Jackie Toner … Father, Robert, played football at Swarthmore and sister, Abby, is a junior on the Drexel women’s soccer team … Major is undecided at William and Mary … Enjoys hunting, reading, and watching movies in his spare time.
