Freshman Year (2013): Made 41 starts in 53 appearances for the Tribe this spring … Finished the year with a batting average of .280 … Tallied 34 RBIs, 22 runs scored and 51 hits … Posted 13 multi-hit and 10 multi-RBI games this season … Reached base safely in 11 consecutive contests … First career RBI drove in the go-ahead run in the 4-3 win over Rutgers on March 8 … Drove in two runs on one hit in the contest at Richmond on April 2 … Went 2-for-4 with two RBIs in the series opening victory over James Madison on April 13 … Registered three hits, two RBIs and a run scored in the 11-2 win over George Mason on April 26 … Opened the CAA Tournament in the 20-19 win over JMU with five RBIs, three hits and two runs scored … Connected on two hits in the Tribe’s 4-2 NCAA Tournament win over Ole Miss on May 31.

Prep: Four-year letterwinner for coach Brad Bauder at Woodgrove ... Earned Dulles District First-Team accolades in 2012 ... Garnered all-state distinctions as a junior ... Named an all-region performer in 2011 ... Also earned All-Dulles District honors in 2011 ... Was a Cedar Run All-District selection in 2010 ... Owned a high school career batting average of .402 ... Posted a batting average of .407 to go along with an on-base percentage of .479 and a slugging percentage of .695 during his junior campaign ... Played travel baseball for the NVTBL Prospect All-Stars ... Helped NVTBL to a 15U AAU National Championship as he earned all-tournament team honors.    

Personal: Son of Stephen and Dorothy Sarty ... Grandfather Stephen Mills pitched in the minor leagues and was inducted into the Maine Baseball Hall of Fame in 2000 ... Intends to major in Kinesiology at the College ... Enjoys playing golf.
