Senior Year (2012): Made 12 starts in 17 appearances on the mound ... Compiled a record of 4-3 to go along with an ERA of 3.97 which was good for 12th best in the CAA ... Finished the year striking out 44 batters in 68 innings of work ... Ranked fifth in the CAA in runs allowed and earned runs allowed ... Tied for seventh in the conference in walks allowed ... Nothced win number three on season after holding Longwood (April 4) scoreless in seven innings of action ... Junior Year (2011): Made 14 appearances on the mound, including 11 starts ... Posted a record of 1-5 with an ERA of 4.88 ... Struck out 35 batters in 55.1 innings pitched ... Named CAA Co-Pitcher of the Week on March 14 after throwing seven shutout innings in a winning effort at Old Dominion ... Against the Monarchs, Shain struck out a season-high seven batter while issuing just one walk ... Had four games in total with five or more strikeouts ...

Sophomore Year (2010): Allowed no runs on just two hits in five inning of work, earning the win at No.12 North Carolina, striking out five (March 9) … Gave up one run over six innings versus Rhode Island (March 23) … Made four starts on the season, racking up a 6.33 ERA …

Freshman Year (2009): Went 2-2 over nine starts for the Tribe in his freshman campaign … Posted an 8.22 ERA in 46 innings pitched, striking out 30 while only walking 25 … Threw five scoreless innings in his start versus UMES, striking out three en route to his second win of the season (April 16) … Pitched 2.2 scoreless innings of relief against Hofstra (May 15) … Allowed a run over six innings against Georgia State, striking out four (March 20) … Recorded a win in his first collegiate start against Iona (February 21) …

Prep: Named All-Region II in 2008 after leading both the district and region in wins with nine … Two-time All-Dulles District first-team member as a pitcher … Led the league in 2007 in wins (7), strikeouts (63), and ERA (1.02) … Helped Broad Run High School win back-to-back district championships in 2007 and 2008 … Named all-district second-team as a first baseman in 2006 … Led the team in wins with five in 2006 … Set the Broad Run record for career wins with 21 … Named Honorable Mention All-Met for a pitcher by The Washington Post ...
