Signed a free agent contract with the St. Louis Cardinals ... Four-time CAA Pitcher of the Week honoree (3/1, 3/28, 4/4, 5/2) ... Louisville Slugger's National Player of the Week on May 3 ... Sophomore Year (2009): Tied for second on the team with 24 appearances, all of those coming out of the bullpen … Led the Tribe in ERA with a 4.20 mark, allowing 43 hits and 25 runs, only 19 of them earned, in 40 and two-thirds innings pitched … Finished with a 3-3 record and three saves, the most on the team … His three saves tied for the eighth most saves in a season in school history … Finished third on the team in strikeouts … Earned his first win of the season against Georgia State, coming out of the bullpen to give up two runs, none of them earned, in six innings in a game the Tribe would win in 15 innings (March 21) … Also earned a win against eventual CAA champion George Mason (March 29) and held College World Series Semifinalist Virginia scoreless in two innings, striking out two (February 24) … Struck out the side in his one inning pitched versus Wagner (March 16) and in one inning against UMES (April 16) … Came on to pitch the final two thirds of an inning at Richmond to record his first save of the season (April 1) … Also recorded a save versus Liberty (April 7) and versus VMI (April 28) …

Freshman Year (2008): Named New England Collegiate League Pitcher of the Week on July 16 … For the Tribe, appeared in 12 games, including four starts … Finished season with a 2-2 record … Earned the first win of his career against Rhode Island (March 18), pitching 6.0 innings while striking out three Rams and surrendering no walks … Pitched 5.2 innings in game 2 of a doubleheader to earn the victory …
