WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — William & Mary women's tennis continues its fall season this weekend at the Navy Blue & Gold Invitational in Annapolis, Md.

The three-day event runs Friday, Sept. 25, through Sunday, Sept. 27, at the Fluegel-Moore Tennis Stadium. Play begins at noon Friday before getting underway at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

All nine members of the Tribe roster are set to compete this weekend. W&M will be joined in the field by host Navy, George Washington, Richmond, Villanova, St. John's, Howard and UNC Wilmington.

The Tribe opened its fall season at the Tribe Invite, Sept. 12-13, in Williamsburg. Freshman Nicole Lukesova highlighted the weekend by going 3-0 in singles and claiming the Grey Singles Draw title in her collegiate debut.

Fellow freshman Medha Chandana teamed with sophomore Tilda Larsson to capture the Griffin Doubles Draw. The duo enters the weekend with a 2-0 record, while Larsson also posted a pair of singles victories during the season-opening event. Lukesova is one of five Tribe student-athletes with two or more singles victories through the opening weekend, joining Francesca Davis, Larsson, Mira Kernagis and Rebeka Svabikova.

W&M will return home Oct. 10-11 to host the HOF Invite.
