WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — William & Mary women's tennis opened its 2026 fall season with a pair of titles at the Tribe Invite over the weekend at the Mackesy Tennis Center at the Millie West Courts and the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center.

Freshman Nicole Lukesova highlighted the Tribe's singles effort, winning the Grey Singles Draw in her collegiate debut. Sophomore Tilda Larsson and freshman Medha Chandana added a doubles crown, teaming up to win the Griffin Doubles Draw.

Lukesova went 3-0 in singles action, opening with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over North Carolina Central's Journee Henderson. She followed with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Penn's Emma Tomova before defeating Richmond's Maddy Kroupetski, 6-4, 6-4, in the championship match.

Larsson and Chandana received an opening-round bye in doubles before defeating Richmond's Kroupetski and Daniela O'Leary, 7-5, in the semifinals. The Tribe tandem topped North Carolina Central's Gabriela Mejia Arenas and Henderson, 6-2, in the championship match.

Larsson also finished the weekend with a pair of singles victories on the consolation side of the Grey Singles Draw. After dropping her opening match, she defeated Morgan State's Angelina Joao, 6-0, 6-1, before topping Henderson, 6-4, 6-3, in the consolation final.

Junior Mira Kernagis also won the consolation side of her singles draw. Kernagis rebounded from an opening-round setback with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Richmond's Victoria Mann before defeating Sofia Barbulescu of Richmond, 6-2, 6-1, on Sunday. Senior Francesca Davis added two singles victories, including a 6-4, 6-3 opening-round win over North Carolina Central's Randy Rakotoarilala.

Sophomore Rebeka Svabikova posted three victories over the weekend, including two on the consolation side of the Black Singles Draw and an additional Sunday win over Old Dominion's Mya Byrd, 7-6 (2), 6-2.

Chandana joined Lukesova in recording her first collegiate singles victory, rallying past Morgan State's Tara Mihaljevic, 3-6, 6-1, retired, in the opening round of the White Singles Draw.

In doubles, Davis and Svabikova advanced to the championship match of the Coastal Doubles Draw. The Tribe pair earned wins over North Carolina Central's Carlota Rodriguez Sanchez and Valentian De Aquino, 6-3, and Penn's Sasha Motlagh and Varsha Vedula, 6-1, before falling to Old Dominion's Uladzislava Manzhos and Mya Byrd in the final.

The Tribe returns to action at the ITA All-American Championships, Sept. 19-27, at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C.
