WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — William & Mary women's soccer head coach Julie Shackford announced the Tribe's 2026 schedule on Tuesday.

Shackford enters her eighth full season leading her alma mater as the Green and Gold looks to earn a berth in the CAA Championship for the fourth time in the last five seasons. The Tribe's 16-match regular-season slate features seven home contests at Martin Family Stadium.

William & Mary will open preseason action with exhibitions against George Washington on Aug. 5 and Longwood on Aug. 8 before beginning the regular season at Loyola Maryland on Aug. 12.

The Tribe and Greyhounds met last season in Williamsburg with Loyola Maryland earning a 1-0 victory. William & Mary owns a 4-2 advantage in the all-time series.

Following the season opener, the Green and Gold travels to Army on Aug. 20. William & Mary and Army have met just twice previously, splitting the all-time series at 1-1. The Black Knights won the most recent meeting in 2021, while the programs' first matchup came in 1984.

The Tribe returns home for its regular-season home opener on Aug. 27 when Virginia Tech visits Williamsburg. The teams played to a 3-3 draw in Blacksburg last season when the Hokies entered the match ranked No. 20 nationally. Virginia Tech will make its first trip to Martin Family Stadium since 2022, and William & Mary holds a 10-8-1 advantage in the all-time series.

William & Mary closes the opening month with a road contest at Appalachian State on Aug. 30. The Tribe is 2-0 all-time against the Mountaineers, including a 2-0 victory in Williamsburg last season.

The Green and Gold opens September with a pair of home matches against Liberty on Sept. 3 and VCU on Sept. 6 before traveling to American on Sept. 13. William & Mary owns a 2-1 advantage in the all-time series against Liberty and has not faced the Flames since 2019.

The Tribe defeated VCU, 2-1, in Richmond during the 2024 season and holds a 21-7-4 edge in the series against the Rams. William & Mary is unbeaten against American at 11-0-1 all-time and earned a 3-1 victory over the Eagles in Williamsburg last season.

CAA play begins on Sept. 19 at Charleston before the Tribe returns home to host Towson on Sept. 24 and Drexel on Sept. 27. Campbell visits Williamsburg on Oct. 2 as William & Mary opens a stretch of three home conference matches in four contests.

The Green and Gold then travels to Hofstra on Oct. 8 and Stony Brook on Oct. 11 before heading to Elon on Oct. 18. The Tribe defeated Elon, 2-1, during the regular season in Williamsburg last year before falling to the Phoenix, 1-0, in the CAA Quarterfinals.

William & Mary closes its home schedule against UNCW on Oct. 25. The Tribe owns a 26-8-1 advantage in the all-time series against the Seahawks.

The regular season concludes on Oct. 29 at Hampton. William & Mary is 4-0 all-time against the Pirates and has won each of the last four meetings since 2022.

The 2026 CAA Championship begins with quarterfinal action on Nov. 5. The semifinals are scheduled for Nov. 8, while the championship match is set for Nov. 14.
