RICHMOND, Va. – After helping lead the William & Mary lacrosse team to a victory against Coastal Carolina on Saturday, sophomore standout Sophie Busam was selected as the CAA Women's Lacrosse Co-Defensive Player of the Week.
 
En route to helping the Tribe limit Coastal Carolina to just seven goals, including just one score in the final 26:19, Busam totaled a career-high three caused turnovers to go with four ground balls.
 
The Summit, N.J., native currently ranks second on the team in caused turnovers (6) and third in ground balls (9).
 
Busam shares this week's CAA Defensive Player of the Week honor with Hailey Huebner of Stony Brook.
 
W&M will look to extend its winning streak when it returns to action at VCU on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
