Oliver Hague, Gur Trakhtenberg Repeat at CAA Doubles Team of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. - For the third time in the last four weeks, the William & Mary men's tennis pair of junior Oliver Hague and sophomore Gur Trakhtenberg was named the CAA Doubles Team of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
 
The Tribe duo earned the honor for the second-straight week after going 3-0 at the No. 1 position during the Battle at the Beach. In total, the pair has won five doubles team of the week honors over the last two seasons. In eight weeks of CAA awards, W&M has received five awards. Along with Hague and Trakhtenberg garnering the doubles honor on three occasions, each has taken home the singles player of the week accolade as well.
 
Hague and Trakhtenberg helped clinch the doubles point against #72 Kennesaw State by beating Dominic Ducariu and Ben Hudson, 6-3. They rolled past Lehigh's Sean Jaeger and Alex Van Lumich, 6-2, as part of a 4-1 team win. In a battle with CAA foe UNCW, Hague and Trakhtenberg edged Alex de Gabriele and Brady Hussey, 6-4, to help claim the doubles point. Along with their success in doubles, Trakhtenberg and Hague were a combined 6-0 at the No. 1 and No. 2 singles spots at the Battle at the Beach.
 
On the year, Hague and Trakhtenberg own a 12-4 doubles record, including a 9-2 ledger at the top position.

The Tribe returns home to host Elon on Friday, March 20, at the Mackesy Tennis Center at the Millie West Courts. First serve is scheduled for 12 p.m. The Tribe will also welcome Hampton on Saturday, March 21, with the match set for 1 p.m. Both contests will be available on PlaySight.
