Men’s Golf Readies for Nemacolin College Invitational

The Tribe finished tied for third in each of its first two events

WILLIAMSBURG, Va.- The William & Mary men's golf team will be back in action on Monday for the Nemacolin College Invitational in Farmington, Pa. 

The Tribe have placed tied for third in each of its first two appearances during the fall campaign. In its last time out, W&M tied for third shooting an 11-over, 863, at The Goat in Annapolis, Md. On Sept. 19-20. 

The squad was led by senior standout Preston Burton, who finished runner-up at the United States Naval Academy Golf Club. Burton shot 2-under, 211 (69-73-69) over 54 holes to pace the Tribe. The Charlottesville, Va., native went onto win CAA Co-Golfer of the Week honors on Sept. 23.

NEMACOLIN INVITATIONAL INFORMATION
The Neamcolin College Invitational hosted by West Virginia will be a 54-hole tournament on October 5-6. The players will compete in 36 holes on Monday and the last round the following day. Play will begin on both days at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start and live scoring will be available on SCOREBOARD. The individuals will be competing in the Shepherd's Rock Individual at Shepherd's Rock Golf Course. 

PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS (16)
West Virginia, Campbell, Connecticut, Delaware, Drexel, Eastern Michigan, George Mason, Geoge Washington, Murray State, Rider, Robert Morris, Saint Joseph's, St. John's, Seton Hall, and Towson. Auburn will compete with individuals only.
