WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The William & Mary women's gymnastics team will open the 2026 season when it travels to West Chester for a dual meet on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

The Tribe was originally scheduled to open its slate at home versus Southern Connecticut State and Fisk on Sunday, but the meet was cancelled due to the planned campus closure and with consideration given to the winter weather forecast for Hampton Roads.

W&M enters the 2026 campaign with a talented roster that is eager to contend for the GEC title after placing fourth at the league's championship meet last season. 

Leading the Tribe will be a pair of standouts who earned all-conference honors last season, as Melanie Faulkner garnered All-GEC distinction on beam while Hannah Burke did so on vault. 

Following this weekend's meet, the Tribe will return to action when it competes at Temple next Friday at 6 p.m.
