Caleb Dorsey Inks Professional Contract in Slovakia

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Recent William & Mary graduate Caleb Dorsey inked a professional contract with BC Komarno in the Slovakian Basketball League earlier this week.
 
Dorsey spent the last two seasons as a key fixture in the Tribe's rotation. He started 29 of his 56 career games, and the versatile forward averaged 7.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.
 
As a senior in 2024-25, Dorsey helped lead the Tribe to one of the biggest turnarounds in the country. He averaged 7.7 points per game, shooting 40.9% from the field, 30.5% from 3-point range, and 83.3% at the free throw line. The Tribe won 17 games, the 12th-most in school history, and finished fourth in the CAA with 11 wins. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Integrative Conservation in May. 
 
Dorsey tallied a career-high 20 points on a perfect 7-of-7 shooting, including a 3-pointer, and 5-of-5 at the free throw line on Senior Day vs. Northeastern in March. He tallied 14 points in wins over Richmond and at Stony Brook during the regular season. Dorsey connected on 4-of-8 from 3 vs. the Spiders
 
During his junior season, Dorsey averaged seven points and six rebounds per game, while starting the final 25 games of the season. He ranked 13th in the CAA in double-doubles (4) and 15th in rebounding. 
 
BC Komarno, based in Komarno, Slovakia which is located along the country's southern border with Hungary, made the playoffs last season in the top division in Slovakia, finishing seventh in the league at 17-19. Historically, BC Komarno has been at the top of the SBL. They were the Slovakian League regular season runner-up in 2022 and was a playoff finalist in 2023.
 
Dorsey joins a list of eight former Tribe standouts that played professionally last season. The former Tribe standouts that spent last season in the professional ranks includes Miguel Ayesa (Rioverde Clavija in Spain), David Cohn (Tigers Tübingen in Germany), Nathan Knight (Zhejiang Guangsha Lions in China), Matt Milon (GTK Gliwice in Poland), Anders Nelson (Constanta in Romania), Terry Tarpey (AS Monaco in France), Marcus Thornton (Lavrio in Greece), and Andy Van Vliet (BCM Gravelines Dunkerque in France). He is the third Tribe alum to sign to play professionally in Slovakia, joining Marcus Kitt '11 with SKP Banska Bystrica in 2011-12 and Oliver Tot '18 with PP TV Raj Zilina from 2018-20.
