WASHINGTON, D.C. – Delaware hit a tournament-record 18 3-pointers and rallied past William & Mary, 100-78, the quarterfinals of the 2025 Jersey Mike's CAA Men's Basketball Championship on Sunday afternoon at CareFirst Arena.
The Tribe (17-15) led by two at the half, 49-47, and scored the first five points of the final 20 minutes to open up a 54-47 lead just 1:21 into the frame on a
Keller Boothby 3-pointer.
Delaware (15-19) answered with a 13-1 run to retake the lead and then used a 10-1 spurt to extend the margin to double-digits on the way to its third win in three days at the conference tournament.
Boothby led W&M with 16 points in his final collegiate game, hitting 4-fo-7 from 3-point range, while senior
Gabe Dorsey tallied 13 points, including hitting 4-of-8 from distance.
UD's John Camden led all scorers with a career-high 36 points, hitting 11-of-15 from the field, including a CAA Tournament record tying eight 3-pointers. As a team, the Blue Hens hit a 18 3-pointers, a tournament mark, and shot 62.1% from long range and 55% (33-of-60) from the field.
W&M hit three of first four from 3-point range and took it first lead at 9-8 on a Boothby 3-pointer just over two minutes into the game.
Delaware started hot, hitting eight of first 11 shots, including 5-of-6 from 3. Five in a row from Camden stretched the Blue Hen lead to 13-9 at the 15:56 mark.
A Cavan Reilly 3-pointer at the 11:48 mark gave UD a 21-18 lead, but W&M answered with a 9-0 run on three-straight 3-pointers to surge in front. Freshman
Isaiah Mbeng hit a 3-point from the left corner and then made the steal on the in-bound pass leading to a Boothby triple. A deep
Gabe Dorsey 3-pointer extended the lead to 27-21 at the 10:33 mark.
The Blue Hens stayed within striking distance thanks to five-straight 3-pointers. Camden hit three during the stretch, including the final one at 5:57 to put the Blues Hens back in front, 37-35.
W&M responded with an 8-0 run. Junior
Kyle Pulliam scored the final five of the stretch and hit a 3-pointer at the 3:52 mark to give W&M a 43-37 lead.
Back-to-back Delaware 3-pointers from Macon Emory knotted the game 43, but W&M took the lead into the locker room. The Tribe hit 6-of-8 at the free throw line over the final 2:46 to lead by two, 49-47, at the break.

A 13-1 Delaware run put them in front for good. Reilly tied the game at 55 on a 3-pointer, and Camden scored five in a row, including a pair of free throws at 16:07, to give UD a 60-55 lead.
Another Blue Hen run, this time 10-1, pushed the margin to double digits. A Tahron Allen lay-up at 10:10 pushed the margin to 73-63. Another Camden 3-pointer two minutes later extended the advantage to 15 at 79-64.
The Tribe closed to within nine, 83-74, following a corner 3 from Boothby and a
Caleb Dorsey hook shot in the lane at the 3:45 mark.
Delaware put the game away with a capping 17-2 run.
W&M finished the contest at 34.8% (24-of-69) from the field, but were just 28.1% (9-of-32) in the second half. The Tribe finished with 11 3-pointers and hit 79.2% (19-of-24) from the free throw line. The Green and Gold held a 40-38 advantage on the glass.
Senior
Matteus Case scored 13 points in his final collegiate game, while Pulliam added 12 points. Junior
Chase Lowe led the Tribe with eight rebounds to go with eight points. Mbeng added a team-best five assists and a career-high five steals.
The Tribe wrapped up the season with 17 wins under first-year head coach
Brian Earl. The total ranks 12th in W&M history. The Green and Gold won 11 CAA games during the regular season, the seventh time in 40 years that the Tribe reached that mark.
