WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary standout freshman
Connor Barrow highlighted the Tribe men's gymnastics team's performance during the individual event finals at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championship hosted by Navy on Saturday afternoon, as the Houston, Texas native won the vault title.
Barrow claimed the national title with a 14.25, which was his second-best score this season.
Including Barrow, four Tribe gymnasts earned USA Gymnastics Collegiate All-America honors during Saturday's individual event finals. The impressive group featured
Sam Lee, who placed second on vault (14.1), as well as
Ricky Pizem (13.4) and
Luke Tully (13.0), who finished second and third, respectively, on high bar. Pizem's outstanding score nearly matched a career high.
Tully's All-America recognition on high bar was his second national accolade at the championship, as he also garnered All-America status as an all-arounder during the opening day of competition.
A quartet of additional Tribe standouts also competed in the event finals, as
Evan Wilkins placed seventh on floor (12.4) and tied for eighth with
Niko Greenly on parallel bars (12.6). Additionally,
Gavin Zborowski finished seventh on pommel horse (12.75), while
Mark Fu placed seventh on rings (12.4).

W&M will continue the championship portion of its schedule when it competes at the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship hosted by Simpson on April 5.
