WILMINGTON, N.C. – William & Mary men's tennis won the doubles point to open the match at reigning CAA Champion UNCW on Saturday afternoon. The Seahawks responded by winning each of the six singles positions to secure the 6-1 victory.
 
The Tribe (3-7, 1-2 CAA) started things off with doubles wins on court 2 and court 3 to take a 1-0 lead. Thanks to an early break, senior 
Sean Joseph and freshman 
Gur Trakhtenberg combined for a 6-2 win against the Seahawks' Harold Huens and Lukas Steffen at No. 2. The pair advanced to 2-2 this season.
 
Senior 
Alexander Karman and junior 
Albert Hansen clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 win over Alex de Gabriele and Oscar Baumgartner at No. 3. The Tribe pair recorded its fifth win of the year.
 
UNCW (4-7, 1-0 CAA) proceeded to win all six singles matches to notch its first CAA win of the year. At No. 3, Hansen battled into a third set. After UNCW's Joseph Wayand took the opening set, 6-1, the Tribe junior answered with a 6-3 win in the second. Wayand held on to pick up the victory, 6-0, in the third.
