PROVIDENCE, R.I. – William & Mary men's tennis wrapped up its Ivy League road trip with a 6-1 setback at Brown on Sunday afternoon.
Junior
Albert Hansen provided the Tribe's lone point with a victory at No. 5 singles. The match was one of three in singles action that went to three sets. Hansen won the opening set, 7-5, before dropping the second in a tiebreaker, 7-6 (4), to Alexander Bravo. The Tribe junior won a third-set super tiebreaker, 11-9, for his first dual match win of the season.

Oliver Hague and freshman
Gur Trakhtenberg gave W&M the early lead with a 6-1 win over Lukas Phimvongsa and Noah Hernandez a the top spot. The Tribe pair won its eighth match of the season and improved to 5-1 at No. 1.
The Bears (10-5) won at No. 3 and then secured the point as Alex Finkelstein and James Lian edged the Tribe pair of sophomore
Nikita Bortnichek and freshman
Raz Katz in a tiebreaker at No. 2. Brown won in straight sets at No. 2, No. 4 and No. 6 to secure the team triumph.
Along with Hansen's match at No. 5, Hague and senior
Sean Joseph battled into third sets at No. 1 and No. 3. Like Hansen, Joseph won the opening set, 6-1, over Hernandez at No. 3. The Brown player rallied to win the final two sets to claim the spot.
After dropping the first set at No. 1 to Finkelstein, Hague responded to take the second in a tiebreaker, 7-6 (4). Finkelstein pulled out the third set for another Brown victory.
