RICHMOND, Va. — After leading the Tribe in scoring in a pair of road victories,
Jana Sallman has been named the CAA Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Sallman averaged 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game while shooting 67% from the floor during the week. On Wednesday, she poured in 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting to lead the Tribe to a 67-64 upset of Wake Forest, handing the Demon Deacons their first loss of the year.
The Cairo, Egypt native followed up with 20 points in William & Mary's win at American on Sunday, dishing out five assists and connecting on eight of 12 field goals again.
Sallman now ranks second in the CAA in both field goal percentage (60.4%) and free throw percentage (82.6%). She is the first Tribe player to earn CAA weekly honors this season.
