CLEAR BAG POLICY AND METAL DETECTORS
Furthering its commitment to a first class and secure environment at home athletic events, William & Mary will implement the use of walk-through metal detectors at the entrances to athletic venues (both ticketed and non-ticketed events) beginning in the fall of 2025.  This enhanced security method mirrors standard practice at most major professional and intercollegiate athletic events throughout the country and compliments the Clear Bag Policy already in place. Fans will proceed through metal detectors prior to having their tickets scanned or entering a venue for non-tickets events. Entrants will not need to remove items such as belts, cell phones, coins, jackets, jewelry, watches, wallets, shoes or other small objects. If additional screening is necessary, security staff will ask the individual to proceed to a secondary screening area, where they will be asked to divest themselves of certain items and pass through again until clear.

LAST TIME OUT
The Tribe split its two matches at UNCW, winning in straight sets on Friday before falling in four sets on Saturday. W&M out-scored UNCW in points 56-37 and racked up 13 blocks. Audrey Brcka led the Tribe with 13 kills while Nicole Smith added a dozen kills on a .391 hitting percentage.

DOUBLE'D UP
Smith chipped in on both ends of the court against the Seahawks on Saturday, recording her first double-double of the season with 12 kills and 10 digs.

DIGGING DEEP
Avery Horejsi is averaging 4.60 digs per set, ranking 38th in Division I and third in the CAA.

BLOCKBUSTER
Over her last four matches, Damisi Osibodu ranks second in the CAA in blocks per set at 1.47. The freshman has stuffed 22.0 total attempts over that span, including seven solo.

STAT NUGGETS
  • The Tribe still leads the CAA in total blocks (230.0) and is second in blocks per set (2.64). Both figures rank top-30 in Division I.
  • Smith has recorded 10+ kills in eight of her last 10 matches.
  • Brcka has a streak of six straight matches with double-digit kills. The junior outside is averaging 3.3 kills per set over that span.
