Women's Tennis Wraps Up Perfect Final Day of W&M Hidden Dual

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - William & Mary women's tennis wrapped up the W&M Hidden Dual in impressive fashion with a perfect Sunday, going 8-0 in singles and 4-0 in doubles.
 
For the three-day event, the Green and Gold went a perfect 12-0 in doubles action and 16-3 in singles play against Morgan State, Norfolk State, and VCU. 
 
Junior Francesca Davis and freshman Tilda Larsson wrapped up a perfect 3-0 weekend, topping the Morgan State team of Damla Arslan and Tyler Williams, 6-0. The Tribe pair moved to 10-1 on the year.
 
W&M won all three of its doubles matches against Norfolk State. Sophomore Mira Kernagis and freshman Alexia Gonzalez-Galino topped the Spartans pair of Yuliya Yurkova and Yuliya Yurkova, 6-3, for their fifth win of the fall. The senior tandem of Emma Pell and Yaelle Vaissaud won for the second-straight day, downing Ines Sabadie and Kayla Kennedy, 6-0, to move to 4-1 on the year.
 
Senior Sia Chaudry and freshman Rebeka Svabikova rounded out the sweep and ran its record to a perfect 3-0 with a 6-4 victory over the Norfolk State team of Elena Martinez Prado and Irina Iurea.
 
In singles play, the Tribe won seven of eight matches in straight sets. Chaurdy tallied her second win of the tournament and sixth overall during the fall, topping Yukrova, 6-4, 6-3.  
 
Kernagis and Vaissaud each picked up their sixth wins of the fall as well. Kernagis dropped just two games in a convincing 6-0, 6-2 win over Norfolk State's Elena Martinez Prado. Vaissaud topped Angelina Maniawska, 7-5,6-1.  
 
Pell moved to 2-0 at the tournament and an impressive 8-2 during the fall with a straight-sets win. She dropped just three games is dispatching of the Spartans' Irina Iurea, 6-2, 6-1.
 
Freshmen Rebeka Svabikova and Alexia Gonzalez-Galino both picked up their fifth wins of the fall in downing NSU foes. Sablikova defeated Ines Sabadie, 6-1, 6-4, while Gonzalez-Galino downed Sabina Iurea, 6-0, 6-4.
 
Junior Parker Debnam needed three sets, but upended Kayla Kennedy, 6-0, 2-6, 10-6, for her fourth win of the fall.
 
Davis was the lone Tribe player to face an opponent from Morgan State. She made quick work of Roua Limem, 6-3, 6-0, to move to 9-2 on the year.
 
Davis and Larsson will be back in action at the ITA Conference Masters Championships next weekend, Nov. 6-9, at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif.
