Last Time Out
The Tribe was bested in its home finale, 3-1, against Charleston last Saturday. The visiting Cougars scored the first three goals of the match before the Tribe got on the board via
Damen Burney. Burney finished off a pass from
Noah Hiort-Wright in the 85
th minute for his first career goal, while the assist from Hiort-Wright being the first point of his career. The Tribe outshot the Cougars 19-9 on the afternoon.
Getting Shots Up
The Tribe is coming off a season-high 19 shots its last time out against Charleston. The match marked the sixth time this year that W&M has gotten off double-digit shots in a game and the third consecutive game they have accomplished the feat.
Career Firsts
With Burney and Hiort-Wright each earning their first career point(s) in the last match against Charleston, W&M has had 11 different players post their first career point this season. Eight of those 11 players for the Tribe are freshman, showcasing a bright future for the Green and Gold.
Winning Clean
Dating back to 2023, the last eight wins for the Tribe have also been clean sheets.
History with Elon
The meeting between the Tribe and the Phoenix will be the 17
th all-time between the programs. W&M holds the advantage in the series, 7-5-4, while games at Elon have gone an even 3-3-2. The two sides played to a 1-1 draw in Williamsburg back in September.
