Junior Lindsay Kahren followed up her career-high 27 digs from Friday with 21 over three sets on Saturday to go with three service aces and four assists for W&M (5-8, 1-3 CAA). Senior setter Amy Schwem just missed a second-straight double-double with 23 assists and nine digs.

Stony Brook (9-4, 2-2 CAA) jumped in front with three-straight points, taking an 8-5 lead on a block by Mercedes Motton and Tori Henry. W&M rallied to pull even at 10 on kills by Malcolm, Smith and Arnason. Two more Arnason kills gave the Tribe a 14-13 lead and forced a Seawolves timeout. In total, it was a 6-1 run that extended the W&M margin to 17-14 on an Olivia Esposito kill.

Stony Brook tied the match at 19 on a kill by Motton, but W&M pulled out the opening set by winning four of the final five points. The Green and Gold tallied three in a row behind a Maddie Meyers kill and two-straight Kahren aces to take a 24-21 lead, before winning the set on a Seawolves' service error.

The momentum carried over to set two as the Tribe raced out to a 7-0 lead with SBU burning two timeouts in the process. W&M notched a pair of blocks during the run, while Meyers and Arnason each added two kills apiece.

Stony Brook would not go away, scoring seven in a row to take a 9-8 lead. Leoni Kunz led the way with two kills during the run. W&M responded with four in a row to gain a 16-14 advantage on an Arnason and Malcolm block.

With the set even at 19, the Tribe surged in front with three-straight points, including a pair of Audrey Brcka kills, to open up a 22-19 lead. Smith put the finishing touches on another set win and a 2-0 lead with her seventh kill of the afternoon.

W&M used another run to start set three. The Tribe scored the first three points of the set capped by a Kahren ace. The lead reached five, 10-5, on a block by Arnason and Malcolm.
