TRIBE NOTES

Last Time Out
After an early goal by George Mason in the 20th minute, the Tribe pushed hard for an equalizer for the remainder of the contest, outshooting the Patriots 17-12, but were unable to score, falling 1-0. Tre Barrett, Aidan Morrison and Sam Delgado all had quality chances in the second half to tie the game at 1-1, but narrowly missed the target.

Rookie Honors
Ryan Eapen has started the last five games in goal for the Tribe, after redshirting a year ago, and earned CAA Rookie of the Week honors this week for his five saves against Northeastern. The selection is the first conference honor of Eapen's career. He has a total of 23 saves with a .821 save percentage and 1.07 goals against average.

Not Afraid of a Challenge
The Tribe's 2024 schedule, as it does many years, offers Chris Norris' squad the chance to go toe-to-toe with some of the best programs in the nation. W&M's schedule currently features four nationally ranked opponents. The Tribe opened CAA play with No. 24 Hofstra before the meeting with No. 15 Penn. 14th ranked Elon still lies ahead in conference play, while W&M will host No. 6 North Carolina on Oct. 15. NC State is currently receiving votes and will come to Williamsburg on Oct. 23.

Scouting the Seahawks
The Seahawks come into Saturday's match with a record of 2-3-4 and are off to a 1-1 start in conference play. Their conference win came against Drexel last Saturday 2-1. UNCW comes off a scoreless draw against another CAA opponent, Campbell, on Tuesday. The match was played as a non-league game however.

History with the Seahawks
Saturday's match will be the 54th meeting all-time between UNCW and W&M. The Tribe holds a 36-10-7 lead all-time series, but the Seahawks have found their stride against the Tribe as of late, holding a 7-2-3 advantage in the last 10 meetings.
