Volleyball to Conclude Regular Season Hosting Hampton

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — The William & Mary volleyball team will conclude the 2024 regular season as they host Hampton for two matches this weekend at the Kaplan Arena. Friday's opener will get underway at 6 p.m. while Sunday's match will follow at 1 p.m. Both matches will be streamed on FloSports.

Prior to Sunday's match, the Tribe will honor six seniors playing in their final game in the Green & Gold: Amy Schwem, Bella Easton, Maddie Meyers, Sabrina Malcolm, Haley Adams, and Eleanor Stothoff. Fans are encouraged to arrive well in advance of start time for the Senior Day festivities.

NEWS AND NOTES
- The Tribe are coming off a road series sweep of Elon last weekend, winning 3-2 on Saturday and 3-1 on Sunday. It marked the Tribe's first road victories of the season and their first road sweep of a conference opponent since Hampton last year. Before that, it hadn't happened since October 2013 against Towson and Delware.

- Katherine Arnason put on a show in both matches, notching a career-high 17 kills on Saturday and adding 15 more on Sunday for a total of 32 kills and 34 points.

- The Tribe defense was stifling, holding the Phoenix to a hitting percentage of .141 for the weekend.

- Amy Schwem had 31 assists in the Friday match, equaling a season high (Oct. 4 at Northeastern). Ryann Love added seven blocks on Sunday, also a season-best.

- Maddie Meyers has three straight matches with a dozen or more kills. She's tallied 39 total kills over that span.

SERIES HISTORY
The Tribe have dominated the series with Hampton, going 25-2 in a series that dates to 1978. They have won seven matches in a row, with the last Hampton victory coming in 2013.
