WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — The William & Mary volleyball team will continue their home stand with a pair of conference matches against Hofstra this weekend. The first match will get underway on Friday at 3 p.m. in Kaplan Arena, with the second match to begin on Saturday at 11 a.m.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the pregame ceremony as the Tribe honors senior Amy Schwem with a game ball for her 2,000th career assist against UNCW last Sunday.

NEWS AND NOTES
- Schwem became the seventh player in program history to reach the 2,000-assist plateau after she dished out 25 helpers against UNCW. The Lemont, Ill. native had 46 assists over the weekend.

- Maddie Meyers ranks eighth in the CAA and top-100 nationally with 801 total attacks this season. She is also top-10 in the conference in kills (272) and points (305.0). On the defensive end, Meyers is also six digs away from 500 for her career.

- As a team, the Tribe ranks second in the league in total blocks (190.0). Junior Olivia Esposito and graduate senior Sabrina Malcolm lead the way with 79 stuffs apiece.

- The Tribe has won four of their last five matches in the friendly confines of Kaplan Arena.

SCOUTING THE PRIDE
- Hofstra enters the weekend in a four-way tie for first place in the CAA with a 9-3 league record. The Pride are 13-8 overall and were swept by Delaware last week as their nine-match win streak came to an end.

- Head coach Emily Mansur is in her 11th season at the helm of the Hofstra volleyball program in 2022 after serving as an assistant coach with the Pride in 2013. She owns a 195-110 record during her 10-plus seasons.

- Chiara Cucco ranks 19th in Division I in digs per set (4.95), a figure that also paces the CAA. Constanza Perez Sain is fourth in the conference in aces per set (0.42).

SERIES HISTORY
Hofstra leads the all-time series 34-19. The Tribe snapped a lengthy losing skid to Hofstra in November 2022 with a 3-2 win in the CAA Tournament hosted by Towson. The Pride swept both matches last season in Hempstead, N.Y.
