NORFOLK, Va. – William & Mary men's tennis turned in a strong weekend at the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club Collegiate Invitational. Combined the Tribe was 22-4 over the three days in singles action and 9-3 in doubles.
 
Graduate student Satchel Benn and freshman Oliver Hague took home the event's doubles winner, going 3-0.
 
The Tribe tandem opened with a 6-4 win over JMU's Esteve Agusti and Aathreya Mahesh on Friday, before downing Charleston's Mattia Bernardi and Matias Gaedechens in a tiebreaker, 7-6 (7) on Saturday. Benn and Hague completed an undefeated weekend by topping Old Dominion's Aryan Saleh and Yanis Moundir, 6-2, in the final day of action on Sunday.
 
In singles action, Hague, junior Sean Joseph, graduate student Bill Duo, sophomore Albert Hansen and junior Alexander Karman went 3-0 at the tournament, while freshman Nikita Bortnichek was 2-0. Graduate student Alexandre Leblanc and Benn both finished with 2-1 singles records.
 
Along with Benn and Hague in doubles, graduate student Konstantinos Raptis  and Joseph were a perfect 3-0 over the three days.
 
The Tribe returns to action when it hosts the W&M UTR Tournament this weekend, Sept. 29-Oct. 1.
