REIGNING POTW
Taylor Burrell has brought her impressive performance into conference play, getting dubbed a CAA co-Offensive Player of the Week after the Tribe's series sweep of Charleston. In four weeks, she has earned an honor following three weekends of play, including all-tournament honors at the Mountaineer Classic and Bucknell Invitational.

Burrell posted career numbers each day in the Tribe's conference-opening weekend. She recorded a career-best 23 kills on Saturday and matched the mark on Sunday, pacing the team with 46 kills and averaging an impressive 4.60 kills per set in the pair of matches. She recorded a .477 hitting percentage on Saturday, beating her previous season-high mark of .350.

MEET THE OPPONENT
Campbell joined the CAA prior to the 2023 season, splitting their first in-conference weekend against Delaware last weekend. In the Camels' previous match, they earned their first CAA win while serving a season-high 12 aces as three players registered double-digit kills.

The team is paced offensively by outside hitter Chloe Cook's 130 kills (2.6 kills/set) and defensive specialist Claranne Fetcher's 14 service aces. Both Cook and Fetcher were named to the All-Big South team, second and first team, respectively, and Fetcher was tabbed the Big South Defensive Player of the Year.

SERIES HISTORY
The Tribe possesses an all-time 3-1 lead over the Camels in a series that stretches back only to 2010. Playing host in 2010 and 2012-13, W&M took the first two meetings and Campbell secured a victory in the third match in Williamsburg. Most recently, the teams met in 2018 in Blacksburg, Va. On Sept. 1, as W&M extended the series to their current lead of 3-1 with a 3-1 win.

This matchup marks the first time the Tribe will face the Camels as the true away team, and the first time the teams will meet outside of Virginia.

LAST TIME OUT
Hosting their first home matches of the season, the Tribe took two wins from Charleston in the opening weekend of CAA action. As W&M continued to illustrate the depth of their lineup, multiple players contributed career-high numbers in the two matches including Taylor Burrell with a pair of 23-kill days, Sarah Callender with 18 kills and 17 digs in Sunday's match, and Amy Schwem's 31 assists.

In Sunday's rally, the Tribe put their fight on display, completing a reverse sweep of the Cougars to remain undefeated in conference play.

FAST FORWARD
The Tribe will continue conference play on the road as they return to the Commonwealth to take on Hampton Saturday, Sept.30 (1 p.m.) and Oct. 1 (1 p.m.).

Following the four-game road trip, W&M will play host once again, welcoming Elon to Kaplan Arena on Oct. 7-8 for two 2 p.m. weekend matches.
