LYNCHBURG, Va. – William & Mary men's tennis wrapped up the fall season at the ITA Atlantic Region Championships over the weekend at the Liberty Tennis Complex.
Graduate student
Alexandre Leblanc led the way for the Tribe, advancing to the round of 16 in the Gold Singles Draw. He rallied for a three-set win over Delaware's Nikolaj Tailmaa in the opening round on Saturday. Leblanc's run came to an end with a straight-sets loss to No. 7 seed Loren Byers of Penn State on Sunday. He wrapped up the fall season at 8-2.
Freshman
Oliver Hague and graduate student
Satchel Benn each notched an opening round win in the Silver Singles Draw on Thursday. Hague upset the draw's No. 14 seed Frank Thompson of Virginia Tech with a come-from-behind three-set win. His singles run ended with a narrow 6-4, 7-6 (3) setback to Liberty's Chase Robinson on Friday. Hague led the Tribe with nine singles wins during the fall.
Benn opened with a 6-4, 7-6 win over a George Mason's Monil Lotikar. He battled with No. 4 seed Jake Fellows of Georgetown, before falling in three sets. Benn ended the fall at 7-3 in singles action.

Bill Duo recorded wins in their consolation matches. Karman topped JMU's Edson Sanchez, 7-6 (8), 6-2, for his seventh win of the fall, whle Duo rallied for a three-set win over Ilyas Fahim of Virginia Tech for his fifth win of the fall.
In doubles, both Duo and Leblanc as well as the team of Benn and Hague picked up consolation round victories. All three Tribe doubles team qualified for the main 32-team Gold Draw. After dropping a close 8-6 decision in the opening round of the top-seed from Virginia, Benn and Hague topped Bucknell's Amar Tahirovic and Brendan McDonald, 8-5, to finish the fall at 4-1.
Duo and Leblanc, who were the No. 4 seed in the tournament, downed Mikeal Carpenter and Niles Rachal of Morgan State in the consolation draw, 8-7 (5).
