WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary volleyball (11-7, 6-2 CAA) takes to the road to Hempstead, N.Y., to continue in the CAA action against Hofstra (14-5, 4-4 CAA). The Tribe will play a pair of 1 p.m. matches against the Pride in their first regular-season matchups since 2021.

LEAGUE LEADERS
Olivia Esposito continues to rise in the national rankings, clocking in at #20 in the NCAA rankings in hitting percentage (.417) and #30 in the NCAA in blocks per set (1.34). In each of these categories, she leads the CAA. Last weekend against Elon, Esposito totaled a team-leading 13 blocks with 1.86 blocks per set and hit .536 over the two matches with 18 kills on 28 attacks.
William & Mary matches Towson's 6-2 CAA record atop the league and the Tribe sits second in the conference standings after sweeping three of its four weekends of CAA action.

W&M's next win will mark Adams' 12
th at the helm of the Tribe and the 50
th of his career. The Tribe's next win will also match 2022 for the most single-season victories since the team had 13 in 2012, and the next CAA win will pass 2022 and 2013's 6-win mark as the most in a single season since 2009 (10).
MEET THE OPPONENT
Hofstra leads the league with 14 wins, but fell to 4-4 in the first four weekends of conference play, dropping four of their last five CAA matches to Northeastern, Towson and NC A&T.
The Pride leads the CAA with 989 kills and 167 service aces.
Sophomore Outside Hitter Clara Bal leads the Pride in kills and kills per set. Junior Beatriz Alves, 2021 CAA Rookie of the year and two-time All-CAA setter, is ranked top-10 all time at Hofstra in assists, adding a conference-leading 765 (10.77 assists per set).
SERIES HISTORY
The Tribe have faced Hofstra 51 times in a series that stretches back to 1980. The Pride lead W&M 32-19 in the all-time series. Most recently, the Tribe bested the No. 2 seeded Hofstra in a five-set contest at the CAA Championships in 2022.
LAST TIME OUT
Hosting their second home weekend of the season, the Tribe dropped only one set to Elon, securing a pair of wins to remain undefeated at home. In their previous outing, W&M extended their win streak to four games with a sweep of Elon, 3-0 (25-14, 25-22, 25-20). The victory marked their fourth three-set win of the season and the third in the last two weekends of play.
FAST FORWARD
The Green and Gold will return to Kaplan Arena for William & Mary homecoming weekend, hosting NC A&T at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19 and 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20. These matches will feature W&M volleyball alumni recognition as well as events over the course of the weekend.
