Lord Botetourt Affair Registration Open Now

The William & Mary Athletic Foundation has opened the registration for the 34th Annual Lord Botetourt Affair, the department's premier fundraising auction.

Register for the 2023 Lord Botetourt Affair.

The event will be hosted on campus in the elegant confines of William & Mary's Alumni House on the evening of Saturday, February 25.  The silent auction will start at 6pm with dinner and a live auction to follow, with all patrons having access to an open bar throughout the evening's activities.

All attendees are encouraged to wear their best 'Black Tie" apparel and pair it with their favorite pair of athletics shoes!

The Lord Botetourt Auction is the capstone event of All In Weekend, which will start on Friday, Feb. 24, with both a home baseball game (vs. Marist, @ 3pm) and women's basketball hosting Elon in Kaplan Arena at 7pm.   Saturday's schedule features a wide variety of sporting events throughout the afternoon, including the men's basketball team hosting Monmouth at 2pm.

In just the last eight years alone, the Lord Botetourt Affair has raised over $3 million in critical funding for William & Mary's student-athletes, with last year's edition collecting more than $370,000.

Former William & Mary lead fundraiser, Bobby Dwyer M.Ed. '94, will serve as the master of ceremonies during the live auction and, as usual, will have a tantalizing selection of items for the assembled.  Some featured packages up for bid include a week getaway in a Tuscany villa, four VIP tickets to the Grand Ol' Opry (hosted by Chip Esten '87) and exclusive W&M Athletics experiences.

There are several ways to support the Lord Botetourt Auction, including event sponsorship and item donation.  Additionally, for those not able to attend in person, a select number of items will be featured for an online audience.  Virtual bidding will begin starting on Feb. 15. Anyone interested in supporting the event, or for any more information, can contact Jenna Beattie, the WMAF's Director of Signature Events & Donor Experience (jbeattie01@wm.edu).
