WILLIAMSBURG, VA. - Fresh off a 3-0 weekend in Pittsburgh, William & Mary volleyball opens up the home portion of the slate with a pair of matches this weekend in Kaplan Arena. The Tribe will take on Maryland Eastern Shore at 5:00 p.m. Friday and George Mason 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
William & Mary landed three players on the All-Tournament team last weekend, including Tournament MVP
Sarah Callender. Callender hit .390 on the weekend with 26 kills and 36 digs.
Sabrina Malcolm hit over .500 on the weekend with 30 kills and eight blocks, while
Eleanor Stothoff finished with 20 kills, 15 coming in a three-set win over Duquesne.
As a team, the Tribe ranks third in the CAA averaging 14.75 digs per set and the team has two players setting the tone.
Anna Porter is third in the league with 4.05 digs per set while Callender ranks 10th with 3.06 digs per frame. Callender also ranks sixth in the league with 0.50 service aces per set.
Malcolm is hitting .385 on the season which ranks sixth in the CAA, and is the second best mark among athletes in the Colonial with at least 90 attack attempts. On the whole, William & Mary is fourth in the league with a .221 hitting percentage.
Radford will also be a part of the weekend festivities playing a pair of neutral site matches in Kaplan Arena. Radford will take on George Mason at 1:00 p.m. Friday and UMES 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
