PITTSBURGH, PA. - William & Mary wrapped up a perfect trip to Pittsburg with a 3-0 win over Canisius Saturday afternoon. The Tribe will return to Williamsburg after a three-win zero-loss weekend in which the team dropped just one set.

Today, it was the middles that set the tone for the Green and Gold as Freshman
Ryann Love and junior
Sabrina Malcolm dominated from start to finish. Love hit an outstanding .833 on the day with a season-high 10 kills and three blocks, while Malcolm added a game-high 12 kills on .588 hitting with four blocks.Â

Sarah Callender continued to shine, falling just one kill short of her third double-double. The freshman outside had nine kills with a .529 hitting percentage to go with a game-high 13 digs.
Amy Schwem and
Emma Minnick provided 20 and 13 assists respectively.

The middle blockers played a huge role in the opening set as Love had four kills on four attempts with a pair of blocks, and Malcolm added three kills and two blocks on .750 hitting. Callender had eight digs as the Tribe held Canisius to .045 hitting in a 25-23 win.Â

The Tribe offense kicked into high gear in a 25-19 second set win hitting .424 with 16 total kills. Love continued to be a factor adding five kills in the frame and
Maddie Meyers slammed three kills and had three blocks in the second stanza victory.Â

William & Mary continued the offensive onslaught in the clinching set, hitting a solid .333 as a team. The Tribe defense held Canisius to just 10 kills in the 25-21 third and final frame as Malcolm picked up another block to give her four on the afternoon.

Next weekend the Tribe will return home for a pair of matches at Kaplan Arena. William & Mary will take on Maryland Eastern Shore on Friday and then hoost George Mason Saturday afternoon.Â
