Box Score ELON, N.C.- Elon defeated the Tribe 3-0 Saturday afternoon in a match at the Schar Center. Eleanor Stothoff led all players hitting .371 with 16 kills. 
 
Anna Porter continued to be a factor with 22 digs in the three sets, over seven per set, and Kaitlyn Ferguson and Taylor Burrell each chipped in seven kills. 

William & Mary battled hard in a tough 26-24 marathon first set. Stothoff was the leader for the Tribe with five kills while Porter showed out defensively with eight digs. Neither team was able to get the offense going with both hitting under .160 but it was Elon taking the opening set behind five kills from Sydney Love. 
 
The Phoenix extended the lead to 2-0 in sets after a strong second in which Elon won 25-18. The Tribe only hit .026 in the second, while Elon hit .231. The high octane Elon offense continued as the Phoenix hit .372 in the third to the Tribe's .353 on the way to a 25-22 win.
 
The same two teams will be back in action tomorrow afternoon for a 2:00 p.m. start from the Schar Center in Elon.
