WILLIAMSBURG, VA. - William & Mary volleyball is back in action this weekend with a trio of matches in the Pittsburgh area. The Tribe will face Robert Morris Friday morning before taking on Duquesne Friday evening. The Green and Gold will wrap up the weekend with a neutral site matchup with Canisius at noon on Saturday.
Tribe seniors
Anna Porter and
Kaitlyn Ferguson will look to build on strong opening weekends. Porter led the team with 40 digs for an even 4.00 per set, fourth in the CAA. Ferguson led the Tribe with 28 kills over the weekend including 12 on a .429 hitting percentage against South Alabama. The opposite side hitter followed the performance up with a 10-kill outing against Ball State.
Freshmen
Nicole Smith and
Sarah Callender were also impressive in their collegiate debuts last weekend and will look to continue that success. Smith produced 20 kills on a .271 hitting percentage, while Callender produced the season's first double-double with 11 kills and 15 digs last Saturday against Ball State.
Saturday's meeting with Canisius will mark the first ever between the two programs. William & Mary has a 2-0 all-time record against Robert Morris, with the last meeting taking place in 2018, and a 1-0 record with a win over Duquesne in 2013.
Friday's matches at Robert Morris and Duquesne will both be available to stream via ESPN+, while Saturday's game will have live stats available on the Tribe Athletics website.
