RICHMOND, Va. — The William & Mary football team continues to build upon its tradition of academic excellence, as 47 Tribe student-athletes were recognized on the CAA Football Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll for the spring semester.
 
To garner the distinction, student-athletes must be enrolled full-time and have attained a minimum GPA of 3.0 for the designated academic term.
 
Representing the Tribe for the fall semester were: Drew Babcock, Zyquan Bessant, Ethan Chang, Ryan Childress, Tyler Crist, Marcus Crowell, Gregory Cuffey, Seth Dunn, Jonathan Egwuatu, Carl Fowler, Griffin Gilder, Trey Grant, Rian Haigler, Jarrett Heckert, Gage Herdman, Justin Hiller, Garrett Huyck, Kevin Jarrell, Hunter Klein, Mattijs Lasore, Aaron Maisus, JT Mayo, Trey McDonald, Ryan McKenna, Will Michael, Joey Nameth, Quinn Osborne, Andrew Piercy, Lachlan Pitts, Ryan Ripley, Tyler Rose, David Roulley, Cory Ryder, Sammy Sarantis, Ryan Shonk, Zach Shumate, Colby Sorsdal, Drew Sotka, Malcolm Spencer, Sam Trainer, Colton Turner, Trey Watkins, Will Whitehurst, Ethan Yip, Bronson Yoder, Momen Zahid and Trey Zgombic.
 
In addition to the success in classroom, W&M totaled the program's most wins since 2015 last fall and garnered a national ranking multiple weeks. Additionally, the Tribe finished the season with the CAA's most productive rushing offense and placed seven standouts on the postseason all-conference team, highlighted by defensive end Nate Lynn, a Buck Buchanan Award Finalist for national defensive player of the year, and quarterback Darius Wilson, the CAA Offensive Rookie of the Year.
