WILLIAMSBURG, Va.— After an outstanding career at William & Mary, standout defensive lineman
Will Kiely signed with the Ottawa Redblacks (Canadian Football League) on Friday afternoon.
Kiely joins an impressive list of former Tribe standouts who are currently on professional rosters – DeVonte Dedmon (Miami Dolphins), DeAndre Houston-Carson (Chicago Bears), Bill Murray (New England Patriots), Luke Rhodes (Indianapolis Colts) and Adrian Tracy (Toronto Argonauts). Prior to signing with the Dolphins in January, Dedmon was a standout with the Redblacks and was honored as the CFL's Most Outstanding Special Teams Player in 2021.
As a senior Kiely earned all-conference honors for the second consecutive season after another tremendous campaign in which he ranked tied for seventh in the Colonial Athletic Association in sacks (7). A disruptive force, his season totals also included 35 tackles, 11.0 TFL and a PBU. In addition to recording at least one sack in six contests, his best effort came in the win against Lafayette when he posted a pair of sacks with 4.0 TFL.
The Downingtown, Pa., native finished his career ranked second in school history with 36.5 TFL.
