WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - William & Mary men's tennis heads to the 2022 Colonial Athletic Association Men's Tennis Championship at the event's top seed, April 22-24, at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center in Elon, N.C.
As the top seed, the Tribe earned a bye into the semifinals. The Green and Gold faces the winner of No. 4 Elon and No. 5 Charleston at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 23. The championship match is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m.

News and Notes
- The Tribe is 10-7 on the season, including a perfect 3-0 mark in CAA play. W&M topped Elon, 7-0, in Williamsburg on Feb. 6, James Madison, 6-1, at home on Feb. 26 and most recently, Drexel, 7-0, on March 22.
- The Tribe earned a national ranking for the second-straight year, coming in a No. 72 earlier this season on March 16. W&M finished last season ranked No. 59 in the country, which was its highest ranking since capping the 2007 season at 45th.
- Six of the Tribe's seven losses this season have come teams in the national rankings - No. 4 Baylor, No. 45 Penn, No. 62 Clemson, No. 64 Old Dominion (2x) and No. 67 Liberty.
- In 11 of the Tribe's 17 matches, W&M has captured the doubles point. Combined, the Green and Gold is 32-14 (.696) in dual-match doubles competition.

George Davis led the way in doubles. The pair is 17-5 on the year, including an 11-4 mark at the top spot, and has won eight in a row. They have also twice been named CAA Doubles Team of the Week following Tribe wins over UAB and Radford.

Joseph Brailovsky have also captured CAA Doubles Team of the Week honors this season, taking home the award on March 16 after wins over Navy and Temple. The duo is an impressive 18-5 on the year and 12-4 at No. 2.
- In singles, the Tribe has won at a 61.4% clip in dual-match play, amassing a 54-34 mark.
- Davis holds down the No. 1 spot for W&M with five victories. He was named the CAA Player of the Week on Feb. 9 after the Tribe posted back-to-back 7-0 wins over Longwood and Elon. He was a Second Team All-CAA pick in singles and a first-team choice in doubles last season.
- Brown has been dominant at the No. 2 spot for the Tribe in singles. He owns an 18-5 mark and an 11-4 dual-match record. Brown was named CAA Player of the Week on March 2 after W&M wins over Brown and JMU. Most recently, he knocked off UTSA's Joao Ceolin, who is currently ranked No. 103 nationally.

Sebastian Quiros, who earned All-CAA First Team honors in 2019, and Brailovsky rank second and third on the team in singles wins with 14 and 13, respectively. They are also second and third in dual-match wins with 10 and nine. Quiros is 10-5 at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions, while Brailovsky has been strong at both the No. 4 and No. 5 posts.

CAA Tournament Notes
- The Tribe is the top seed in the CAA Tournament for the third time. W&M was also the top seed in both 2010 and 2018, advancing to the championship match in both those seasons.
- W&M will meet either Elon or Charleston for the fourth time in the CAA Tournament. The Tribe holds a 2-1 advantage over both schools at the championship, including a victory over each last season. The Green and Gold won a thrilling 4-3 semifinal over the Phoenix last season behind a
Finbar Talcott come-from-behind three-set win at No. 4 singles. W&M downed CofC, 4-0, last season and also knocked off the Cougars, 4-1, in the 2015 championship match.
- As a player, W&M head coach
Jeff Kader led W&M to upset wins over No. 62 Old Dominion and No. 38 VCU in the CAA Semifinals and Championship, respectively, as a senior in 2005. It marked the Tribe's first CAA title since 1990. Kader went a perfect 3-0 at No. 1 singles and 3-0 in doubles on his way to being named the most outstanding performer of the championship. He upset the No. 20-ranked player in the country from VCU and the No. 33-ranked player from ODU during the championship run.
- In total, W&M has advanced to the championship match on 12 occasions (1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2008, 2010, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2021), winning league crowns in 2005 and 2015. In total, the Green and Gold has won four CAA titles with its championships in 1987 and 1990 coming via the team points format.
