SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The William & Mary men's gymnastics team earned its second-best score of the season to place second at a tri-meet hosted by Springfield on Sunday afternoon.
Second-ranked Oklahoma claimed the team title with a 400.9 and was followed by W&M (377.8) and Springfield (373.95).
Senior
Christian Marsh highlighted the Tribe's individual performances with a second-place finish on rings (13.25).
Event Highlights
Floor, 63.15 –
Sam Lee (13.15) and
Aidan Cuy (13.1) led the Tribe on floor and placed seventh and eighth, respectively.
Pommel Horse, 61.95 – Marsh placed fifth on pommel horse with a 12.9, while
Christian Gulotta earned a 12.4 to help W&M register a season-high in the event.
Rings, 62.65 – Marsh's second-place finish on rings (13.25) highlighted the Tribe's individual performances in the event.
Vault, 68.3 – Lee posted W&M's top score on vault and tied for sixth with a 14.0, as the Tribe earned its best score of the season in the event.
Parallel Bars, 61.5 – Cuy (12.7), Marsh (12.7),
Alek Kuzmenchuk (12.45) and
Zachary Patrick (12.25) all posted top-10 finishes on parallel bars.
High Bar, 60.25 – Kuzmenchuk's season-best 12.5 was W&M's top mark on high bar, while Cuy also posted a top-10 finish with a 12.4.
Cuy was the meet's lone all-arounder and earned a 76.65.
