RICHMOND, Va. — William & Mary women's track and field senior Keeley Suzenski was named the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
Suzenski set a meet record in the shot put at the Navy Invitational on Saturday, recording a mark of 15.20m (49'10.5) to open the season with a first-place finish. Following the initial weekend of indoor competition in the NCAA, the mark ranks sixth nationally. It's also the third-best distance in W&M indoor history—with Suzenski now holding the top six spots.
The Fleetwood, Pa. native competed in the weight throw in Annapolis as well, placing eighth with a mark of 15.77m (51'09).
