W&M Athletics Foundation announces The Griffin Society
The William & Mary Athletics Foundation is pleased to introduce The Griffin Society, the premier philanthropic giving society for Tribe Athletics. The Griffin Society will recognize philanthropic individuals who invest in the long-term stability, growth, and success of W&M Athletics.
The new initiative will cement W&M Athletics' progress toward a financially stable future for the Tribe by asking members to sign multi-year commitments of $50,000+ to be fulfilled over five years. Members of The Griffin Society will have the opportunity to experience unique VIP events, such as exclusive interactions with Tribe student-athletes and coaches.Â
Gifts to The Griffin Society can be directed to four major areas:
- Capital projects
- Athletics endowments
- Athletics Impact Fund
- Athletics Excellence Funds, which can be directed to sport-specific programs
"We are delighted to bring this new opportunity to our community at an incredibly important time in Tribe Athletics," says Brian D. Mann, Director of Athletics. "We are beyond fortunate to have such a loyal and generous group of supporters. We sincerely believe that The Griffin Society will inspire many to level up their support to join this exclusive group. We continue to work tirelessly to strengthen our finances, and we are exceedingly grateful to every donor."
"The goal of The Griffin Society is to create a first-class donor experience," says Jarrad Turner, Senior Associate Athletics Director for Advancement. "We want to provide the opportunity for donors to feel connected to a community that is engaged with and believes in William & Mary Athletics."
