Stevenson Named CAA Swimmer of the Week

RICHMOND, VA. - Tribe Swimming's Katie Stevenson has been named the CAA Swimmer of the Week as announced by the league Tuesday afternoon. It is the second straight honor for the William & Mary program as Sophia Heilen was named the Swimmer of the Week last Tuesday.

Stevenson won the 50 free against Loyola on Friday night with a time of 24.15 and defeated all comers against Towson with a 24.26 mark. She followed with wins in the 100 free against both opponents, swimming 51.91 and 52.16 times respectively.

Stevenson also anchored the Tribe's winning 200 yard medley relay team and swam leadoff in the first-place finishing 200 free relay with sub 24.00 split times.

On the season, Stevenson has six individual wins and has been a key piece to four relay victories through four dual meets this season. The Tribe will be back in the water November 5 for a meet with James Madison, hosted by Delaware.
