Women’s Tennis Adds Two for Next Fall

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary head women's tennis coach Jessica Giuggioli announced the signing of Emma Lupa Pell and Alexandra Vesikallio to the Tribe program for the 2022-23 season. Pell will be an incoming freshman next fall, while Vesikallio joins the Green and Gold as a graduate transfer from George Washington.
 
 "We are very excited to have Emma and Alexandra join the Tribe family in the fall," Giuggioli said. "Emma is very passionate about tennis, and a great competitor on court. Alexandra has been a valuable player at George Washington, and she will bring a lot of experience to our team."

Will play her senior season for the Colonials in the spring of 2022 … In 2021, compiled a 7-6 dual-match singles record, playing primarily at the No. 3 position … Helped the Colonials to two A-10 Tournament wins and a spot in the league semifinals … Tied for the team lead with 10 victories as a sophomore … Went a team-best 6-2 in singles action in fall tournament play in 2019 … A member of the Dean's list in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 … Selected to the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 … Part of the Dream on 3 program at GW … An SAAC representative in 2019.
