WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – William & Mary Athletics announced on Saturday that both the field hockey and women's swimming programs will be disrupted due to COVID-19 protocols.
 
The field hockey team will postpone its scheduled game at American University on Sunday in Washington, D.C., while the women's swimming program will pause all team activities for a week. 
 
The field hockey program will continue to train, while the women's swimming program will look to return to training after one week.  Both programs will continue with regular testing, while following the guidelines set forth by the CDC, the Virginia Department of Health, the NCAA and campus community
 
Barring any additional setbacks, the field hockey program aims to return to competition on Friday, Sept 10, at VCU. The first fall event for women's swimming is Oct. 16 at Johns Hopkins.
