WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Women's soccer senior
Addie Puskar was named the William & Mary Student-Athlete of the Week presented by the Virginia Lottery on Tuesday.
Puskar was voted as this week's award winner by the Tribe fanbase via social media polls on both the @TribeAthletics Twitter and Instagram accounts. Football's Darius Wilson, women's golf's Sarah Houle and men's golf's Ethan Mangum were also honored as finalists for the weekly award.
Puskar scored the game-winner five minutes into the first overtime period to lead the Tribe to a 1-0 victory in its CAA opener at Charleston. The Tribe forward gained space into the right side of the penalty area toward the endline. Her cross-turned shot toward goal deflected off a Charleston defender and in for the winner. It marked Puskar's second career goal and first game-winner.
Puskar is majoring in business with a concentration in marketing. She has excelled in the classroom during her career, being named to the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll during each of her years on campus.
