WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Senior defensive lineman
Will Kiely was selected as the William & Mary Student-Athlete of the Week presented by the Virginia Lottery after a tremendous performance in the Tribe football team's 24-3 victory against Lafayette on Saturday.
Kiely played a pivotal role in the Tribe's impressive defensive effort and posted five tackles with a career-high 2.0 sacks and 4.0 TFL.
In addition to limiting the Leopards to just a field goal, W&M's defensive unit allowed just 32 rushing yards on 26 carries and totaled 6.0 sacks and 11.0 TFL.
One of the nation's top defensive linemen, Kiely is currently ranked tied for seventh in the country in sacks (3) and tied for fourth in TFL (5).
An all-conference standout last season, Kiely's career stats include 140 tackles, 32.5 TFL and 12.0 sacks.
